We planned our entire trip around Greece. I’ve wanted to go for as long as I can remember! And it did NOT disappoint!! I love everything about Greece, the food, the people, the buildings, the sunset, the color of the water. I can’t imagine there is any place like it in the world.
We spent one day in Athens, just long enough to see the Acropolis and get the best gyro of our lives. Then we headed to the island of Naxos. The pictures of me in the blue Kortni Jeane swimsuit on the white sand beach were in Naxos. The beaches there were so pretty! We rented a scooter for a few hours and rode it all over Naxos, before we found out we actually couldn’t rent one since we didn’t have our International Drivers Permit and had to take it back lol. We did get a good amount of riding out of it though and it was so worth it!
Everything about Greece is so bright and fresh. Whoever had the idea to paint the buildings on Santorini all blue and white was genius. And authentic Greek salads are the best salads I’ve ever had, even better than Cubby’s wild rice and kale salad which is SERIOUSLY delicious. I love Greece! In Santorini we rented an ATV and rode all over the island. At this point in our trip we’d been traveling for over 4 weeks so we were both keen to just take it easy, kick back and relax, and Santorini is the best place to do that. We just kind of explored and wandered around which is my favorite way to experience a new place. On the last evening that we were there, we ate at a fancy restaurant overlooking the city of Oia. We usually try to be pretty cheap as far as food goes on these trips, but in each place we like to splurge at least one night. The view alone at that restaurant made it completely worth it!
The sunsets in Oia are world famous and after experiencing a few I can see why. The sun setting over the blue water with the horizon dotted by little Greek islands in the distance is a sight I will never forget! We were already planning our next trip back before we even left. <3
I want to go to Greece sooo bad! It looks so amazing! Thank you for the inspo!
